Former Young Footballer of the Year and Mayo GAA star Diarmuid O'Connor has announced his engagement to fiancé Emma Walshe.
The Ballintubber clubman and his long-time girlfriend announced their good news on Instagram during a holiday to Lake Como.

The 29-year-old teacher from St Gerald’s College in Castlebar was awarded the GAA/GPA Young Footballer of the Year in both 2015 and 2016. His wife to be is also a teacher, at the Quay National School in Westport.
O'Connor has enjoyed a stellar career in the green and red. He was also a member of the Mayo minor team who won the All-Ireland in 2013 and the U-21 All-Ireland title in 2016.
He has also won three senior county titles with his club Ballintubber.
