Breaffy House Hotel will host the World Matchmaking Festival
CASTLEBAR has been announced as the host town for the World Matchmaking Festival.
Following a successful debut in Bundoran, Co Donegal last year, this ten-day and ten-night dancing event will run from Friday, November 1, to Sunday, November 10, at the Breaffy House Hotel & Spa Resort.
Attendees can look forward to eight hours of social dancing daily, featuring top social dance bands.
Event organisers say the event aims to ‘relive the golden era of Lisdoonvarna with dance-filled, fun-filled, and lively nights, celebrating the social dancing revolution that has recently taken the country by storm’.
Last year’s festival saw a large contingent of attendees from the UK, and with Castlebar's proximity to Ireland West Airport, an even greater turnout is expected this year.
