TikTok star Garron Noone  is reportedly in talks with RTÉ to take over from  The 2 Johnnie’s drivetime slot.

RTÉ 2FM bosses are said to be “testing” Ireland’s aspiring comedians and influencers for the show.

An insider told the Irish Mirror: “Garron was in with them in 2FM. Rumours are going around that he was the influencer than Dan (Healy) was talking about at the RTE town hall a while back. They’ve had a few people in over the last few weeks as guests on the likes of Roz and Emma’s show as ways to test how they come across on radio.

“The summer schedule was only ever meant to be a month and 2FM bosses emphasised that to everyone that the summer schedule was temporary. I think they’re not making any of the longer-term decisions until Dan’s holiday, which is around the end of July, and he wants the schedule locked in before then so that’s the timeline they are working towards.”

Mayo's Garron is apparently the most sought after by producers to take over from the Tipperary duo as talent at 2fm have been told it would only be 4 weeks until a replacement was found.

The pair left RTÉ with their final show on May 31 after two years.

Hailing from Mayo, Garron Noone has taken TikTok by storm and other than a witty sense of humour he has another secret talent.

The 30-year-old Ballina native rose to fame from having just a few thousand followers in early 2023 to now just under a million. The creator went viral for his hilarious catchphrase "Follow me, I'm delicious.”

Noone has a secret talent of singing and before rising to fame for his vocals, he had been seen to collaborate with other creators including Allie Sherlock who is also another TikTok creator. Allie is from Cork and went viral for her busking.
