Mayo couple Lorraine and Mike Kelly appeared on RTÉ’s ‘Home of the Year’ last night.
The home - which unfortunately missed out on being chosen for the final of the popular show - was designed to be "very modern and open, light and spacious".
Homeowner Mike amused RTÉ viewers when he compared the house to a popular hair style.
He said, "I've often described it as the mullet of houses. The office and the business at the front and the party in the back, you know, there's so much space you don't see."
Judges Hugh Wallace, Amanda Bone, and Sara Cosgrove praised many aspects of the house, particularly the scale, the view, and the fun children's bedrooms, and many RTÉ viewers expressed their frustration with the judges' decision not to include it in the final.
One X user stated, "That Mayo home was robbed! Crazy scores tonight."
Another commented, "One hundred percent absolutely outrageous! The Mayo home was the clear winner."
