Popular comedy sketch trio Foil, Arms and Hog will kick off their nationwide ‘Doomdah’ 2017 tour in Áras Inis Gluaire, Belmullet, on Friday, February 3, with another Mayo date lined up for Westport Town Hall Theatre (where their performance last May quickly became the stuff of local legend) on Friday, February 10.
Foil, Arms and Hog have a popular YouTube Channel, where they put up a new video every Thursday. The largely-random, sometimes topical sketches could cover anything from a Mayo lad on his J1 trying to get ‘a shift’ with an American girl to the hellish process of purchasing car insurance to a Kerryman giving directions to Mayo to an increasingly flummoxed Englishman.
SeΡn Finnegan (Foil), Conor McKenna (Arms) and SeΡn Flanagan (Hog), all from Rathfarnham in Dublin, formed their comedy troupe at University College Dublin, where they were all studying. That was over eight years ago, and they’ve been touring all over Ireland, the UK, the US and Australia since.
Favourites at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Comedy Festival and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Foil Arms and Hog’s live shows present a blend of off-the-wall, surreal and hilarious comedy scenes with outrageous characters and unexpected twists. Expect tickets to move fast.
