SeΡn Costello bring’s ‘The Loveliest Night of the Year’, a tribute to Mario Lanza, to Galway on September 27
Loveliest night of song in Galway
AFTER 20 sold-out concerts in Ireland, Ballinrobe native SeΡn Costello is bringing ‘The Loveliest Night of the Year’ to Galway to mark the 55th anniversary of the death of American tenor, actor, and Hollywood movie star Mario Lanza (pictured).
Mario’s daughter, Eliza, has said the concert was the best tribute to her father she had attended anywhere in the world.
The night will include all of Mario Lanzo’s biggest songs and duets, including ‘Golden Days’, ‘Without a Song’, ‘Ave Maria’, ‘The Loveliest Night of The Year’, ‘Be My Love’, ‘O Sole Mio’, ‘Because You’re Mine’ and many more.
Featuring Vladimir Jablokov and the Slovak Festival Orchestra, with special guests Frank Naughton (tenor) and Sandra Oman (soprano).
The special night of music and song takes place on Saturday, September 27 at 8pm in the Black Box Theatre Galway. For tickets contact the Town Hall Galway on 091 569777 or visit www.tht.ie.
