Country band The Outlaws will perform in the Welcome Inn Hotel Castlebar on Friday night, April 11.
The Castleblaney band has been packing Ireland’s best-loved hotel dance halls for years now, wowing crowds with vocals, fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitar.
The Outlaws adapt traditional folk and Americana styles – bluegrass, old-time, Cajun, Irish traditional, Tex-Mex, and honky-tonk – into a contemporary alternative country sound that has proved popular the length and breadth of the country.
That blended sound is to the fore in the band’s latest album ‘The Best Part of The Day is The Night’. Some of the original songs on this set are very interesting, especially the title track, which sounds country but carries some Irish traditional influences.
