Big Tom is Breaffy bound
Big Tom and the Mainliners are performing in Breaffy House Resort, Castlebar, on Saturday, October 27. A true legend of Irish country music, Tom McBride, better known as Big Tom, hit the scene on 1966 and is still one of the most renowned names on the circuit. In recent years, he has wound down a little, but he continues to tour a couple of times a year, playing to packed dance halls to appreciative audiences. Some of his greatest hits include ‘The Old Log Cabin For Sale’, ‘Ashes Of Love’, ‘Four Country Roads’ and of course ‘The Same Way You Came In’ – and no doubt these and other firm favourites will be given an airing in Castlebar. Warming up for Big Tom on the night will be another hugely popular country band, Kay and the Country Stars. Tickets (€20 each) will be available on the door. For more information or book accommodation call 094 90 22033 or email info@breaffyhouseresort.ie.
