Mayfield playground in Claremorris will close for one week to facilitate refurbishment works
Mayo County Council has announced that refurbishment works will take place at Mayfield Playground in Claremorris later this month.
The upgrade works are scheduled to run from Monday, April 13th to Monday, April 20th, during which time the playground will be fully closed to the public.
The council confirmed that access to the playspace will not be permitted for the duration of the works to ensure the safety of the public while improvements are being carried out.
While details of the specific upgrades have not been outlined, the refurbishment is expected to enhance the overall quality and safety of the facility for local children and families.
In a statement, the local authority apologised for any inconvenience caused during the temporary closure and thanked the public for their understanding.
The playground is expected to reopen following the completion of the refurbishment works on April 20th.
