Flights to and from Ireland West Airport Knock to London Heathrow airport have been cancelled
KNOCK airport’s service to Heathrow Airport has been cancelled following a fire which has resulted in Heathrow being shut down.
All flights to and from Heathrow Airport have been cancelled after a transformer within the North Hyde electrical substation caught fire in west London.
This is the sub station fire that has caused blackouts and the 24 hr closure of Heathrow airport.

As a result, Ireland West Airport Knock have confirmed that their Aer Lingus service to and from London Heathrow has been cancelled.
“Passengers due to travel to and from London Heathrow are advised to contact the airline to rebook and for further information,” read a statement from the airport.
The only flight from Knock to Heathrow was due to depart at 1 pm today (Friday) while another flight was due at 12.30 pm.
Flights to and from Shannon Airport and Dublin Airport have also been affected by the fire, which was attended by emergency services at 11.23 last night (Thursday). More than 100 people were evacuated and thousands of households were left without power due to the blaze.
