A promising Mayo talent is set to take another step on his rugby journey. Geesala native Fiachna Barrett has been named in the matchday squad for Connacht Eagles who will play Ulster on Friday.
Playing youth rugby with Ballina RFC, Barrett joined the Connacht Rugby Academy. The 21-year-old prop was selected to represent Ireland at the U-20 World Cup in South Africa last year and has already featured for the Connacht senior squad in some pre-season matches.
