Uisce Éireann working to restore water in Ballina after major burst

Ballina to introduce free parking for Christmas shopping

Ballina

Uisce Éireann is working to restore water to customers in Ballina following a major burst at Pearse Street.

Every effort is being made to maintain water supply to as many customers as possible, but the burst, which occurred last night, is impacting some customers in the town’s centre.

This latest outage comes just hours after crews repaired a burst in Ballina town centre yesterday evening. A normal water supply had returned when a second burst occurred.

Access to Pearse Street will be restricted this morning to allow repairs to take place.

Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill assured customers that every effort is being made to restore water as quickly as possible.

“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while the repair works are ongoing,” said Scahill.
