DIARMUID O'Connor and Jordan Flynn have both been received PwC GAA/GPA All-Star Gaelic football nominations. 

The duo are Mayo's two nominees from a 45-man shortlist dominated by All-Ireland champions Dublin, who have 13 in total. 

Both players played key roles in Mayo securing their first Division 1 league title since 2019.

Ballintubber's O'Connor was nominated at midfield after making 12 starts in total for Mayo across all competitions in 2023, scoring 1-2.

In a statement on their social media, Ballintubber GAA Club congratulated the All-Ireland Minor and Under-21 medallist, who the described as 'an outstanding footballer'. 

"Diarmuid has never once failed to honour the green and red jersey and has served our club and county with class, bravery and distinction for more than a decade," the club stated. 

Crossmolina's Flynn was nominated among the forwards after making 16 appearances in the 2023 intercounty season, scoring 0-20 points and racking up a number of impressive displays.

First held in 1971, the PwC All-Stars represents the highest individual accolade in Gaelic games. The nominations and the final 15 players are chosen by a panel of Gaelic games correspondents from across, print, radio, TV and digital media in a meeting chaired by Uachtarán CLG.

The PwC All-Star teams will be presented with their awards at a gala black-tie event which will be staged in Dublin’s RDS and shown live on RTÉ telvision on Friday, November 17. The football winners and the overall Players of the Year will be announced live on the night.

The three PwC GAA/GPA Footballer of the Year nominees are Kerry's David Clifford, Dublin midfielder and two-time Player of the Year Brian Fenton and Brendan Rogers from Derry.
