Members of the Achill Island Coast Guard unit search the seashore at Dooagh for missing teen
AN extensive sea and land search for a teenager who went missing on Achill Island on Friday evening continues this afternoon.
Eighteen-year-old Sebastian Palma Sigmond, who was on holiday on Achill Island has been missing since Friday evening when he was last seen in the village of Dooagh at around 5.30pm. The Mexican national was staying with his aunt who lives in Dooagh and the alarm was raised by family members when he failed to return to the house.
An extensive search of the sea and land involving members of the Achill Island and Ballyglass Coast Guard units and the Achill RNLI and Gardaí took place throughout Saturday and continues this afternoon.

The Sligo-based rescue helicopter R118 was also involved in the search while drones operated by the Ballyglass Coast Guard have also been deployed in the search. A large number of local members of the Achill community and holiday makers have also volunteered their time in the search.
The missing teen is described as being five foot five inches in height with brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing jeans, a black jacket and black hat.
