PONTOON Bridge Hotel has announced the launch of its new School of Photography.
The project is the latest in a long line of skills-based schools offered by the award-winning hotel.
In addition to offering guests as well as non-residents an opportunity to learn some new skills at the hotel’s existing School of Fly-Fishing, School of Landscape Painting and School of Cookery, people can now improve their knowledge of digital photography at the lakeside venue.
The course director of the School of Photography is Glenda Colquhoun who aims to improve participant’s photographic techniques and digital skills in a congenial, informal setting.
Originally from the UK, Glenda now lives in Polranny, Achill.
According to the professional photographer and lecturer, Pontoon is particularly attractive to photographers and an ideal venue for a photography school. “It offers breathtaking beauty and a variety of landscapes which offer endless subjects for the photographer” she said.
