Jack Fallon
Mayo Gaels

THE powerfully-built midfielder has carried his impressive club form from last season into this year and looks set to named in the starting team this week.
The University of Limerick student is a strong fielder, a more than capable ball-carrier and a good free-taker. He can also kick a score as he showed in last year’s Mayo Intermediate championship.
A son of James Fallon, the former Mayo underage and Junior midfielder, Jack will be hoping to be able to help Mayo establish a platform around the middle against Galway.
Do that, and they have a real chance of winning the game.

Dylan Thornton
Ballina Stephenites

COMING up through the underage ranks, the IT Sligo student was known as ‘David Brady’s nephew’. But in the last few years, he’s beginning to be recognised in his own right.
Maurice Sheridan chose Thornton to be his vice-captain this season, and he has all the qualities that you could want in a captain.
Dylan is a tigerish, no-nonsense player who likes to take the most direct route to goal.
He’s also very good in the air, uses the ball well, and won’t be found wanting when the going gets tough.
He plays wing-forward for the Stephenites, and can do a job anywhere in the middle-third.

Fenton Kelly
Davitts

WHEN you see the dynamic Davitts defender in action, it won’t come as a huge surprise to learn that he’s related to Colm Boyle.
Fenton is blessed with a huge engine and has the drive and versatility to match.
He lined out at full-back for the Mayo Under-17s two years ago and has played at wing-forward quite a bit for Davitts. He can also do a job at wing-back or around the middle.
The captain of the  University of Limerick Freshers team this year, Kelly is very highly-rated by both the Davitts GAA club elders and the Mayo Under-20 management.
