A lucky punter who purchased a scratch card at Hoban’s Centra at Westport Quay in recent days has claimed their significant prize of €200,000 at National Lottery headquarters.
The identity of the lucky winner is being kept secret but it is known that a mother and daughter arrived at offices of the National Lottery in Dublin yesterday, on a memorable Monday for four lottery punters from around the country, who picked up a total of €882,772 in prize money from Lotto, EuroMillions and National Lottery scratch card games.
A statement from the National Lottery yesterday stated that the €200,000 was won on a €10 All Cash Spectacular scratch card. Speaking about her mother’s massive win, the delighted daughter said that there was nobody as deserving of such a win than her mother.
“My mam is one of the most selfless people you could ever meet. She may not always have a lot of money but anything she’d have, she’d always be helping other people out. We will make sure that she enjoys her win and focuses on treating herself for a change,” she was quoted as saying in the statement.
Staff and management at Hoban’s said they had no idea who the winner is, but wished them well.
