Baffled Ringo caught out by the sound of his own voice!

WELL Holy God ....but it’s a quare thing when you think you hear yourself talking on the radio and it turns out to be somebody else!
Mayo TD and Minister of State Michael Ring was on his way home from Dublin before the Christmas and was making a few calls to friends and constituents en route. His driver, Gerard Murphy from Glencorrib, had RTE Radio 1 on nice and low in the background.
After ‘Ringo’ ended a call, he thought he heard himself on the car speakers and was momentarily baffled about the ‘interview’.
“I said to Ger .…‘that’s me on the radio. Sure I didn’t do any interview today?’ ...and I asked him to turn up the volume. It was Oliver Callan taking me off again....!
“Jays, that buck has me to a tee .....he must be good when I actually thought I was listening to myself. All we could do was laugh heartily at the good of it. I’ll give him top marks for the Mayo accent anyway!,” says Michael.
Enda Kenny and Michael Ring feature prominently on all episodes of Callan’s Kicks on Radio One. Other ‘regulars’ include President Michael D Higgins, MicheΡl Martin, Gerry Adams, Michael Noonan, Brian O’Driscoll and Bryan Dobson.
Callan, a native of Monaghan, has established a loyal following for his humorous take on the news, political and sporting stories of the week.
