SOCIAL media sites are being mobilised in the search to find missing dog ‘Patch’. The Border Collie/Dalmatian cross went missing from the top of Croagh Patrick on Sunday, May 17.
Since then its owner Billy Clarke has set up a Facebook page ‘Finding Patch’ in an effort to locate the beloved pooch. The page has amassed over 600 likes since Billy’s appeal for assistance on the black and white canine’s whereabouts.
Though initially expected to be most likely in the Murrisk/Lecanvey area and possibly Prospect/Owenwee, the dog owner has received possible sightings of ‘Patch’ in Mayo Abbey and on the Ballyglass to Claremorris Road. If the sightings are correct that would mean Patch has travelled nearly 30 miles since he went missing from the Holy Mountain.
Patch is described as a medium sized dog, white with black spots and a black patch over one eye and ‘gentle’ and ‘sweet natured’. If you think you have seen Patch in your area contact the Facebook page ‘Finding Patch’.
