Man recovering after Castlebar shooting

A man in his 30s is recovering after a shooting in Castlebar on Thursday night last.
Gardaí say a number of shots were fired in the incident in the Castlegrove estate at the northern end of the town at approximately 8.30pm.
The wounds were not life threatening.
Gardaí believe the culprits fled the scene in a bronze-coloured Audi car.
This incident may be linked to another shooting in Castlebar in January. There, on January 6, a relative of the man shot at Castlegrove was also shot, at the Mace Service Station in Moneen.
The culprits on that occasion fled from the scene in a black VW Golf in the direction of Balla.
Gardaí in Castlebar are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them at 094 9022222.
