EirGrid to hold open days across Mayo as part of its consultation on route-corridor options for the Grid West project
The Grid West Project Open Days
EirGrid is holding eight open days across the west as part of their consultation on route corridor options for the Grid West project. Three of these open days will take place in Mayo (see below). Based on the information gathered to date, expert analysis and public consultation, EirGrid is publishing a Stage 1 Report on the project. The Stage 1 Report identifies for the first time a number of potential 1 kilometre wide route corridors which can accommodate this new essential power line infrastructure. The open days will serve as information sessions about the Grid West project, where members of the Grid West project team will be on hand to meet with the public and answer any questions about the Stage 1 Report and the project in general.
Open day locations Grid West Open Days, Tuesday, March 12 – Hotel Ballina, Ballina, Co. Mayo, 1pm to 8pm; Wednesday, March 13 – Gateway Hotel, Swinford, Co. Mayo, 1pm to 8pm; Thursday, March 14 – McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris, Co. Mayo, 1pm to 8pm.
