Gardaí in south Mayo have renewed their appeal for assistance in locating missing Kilmaine man Michael Heneghan
Search continues for missing Kilmaine man
Edwin McGreal
Gardaí and volunteers are continuing their search in south Mayo for missing Kilmaine man Michael Heneghan. Mr Heneghan, aged 59, has not been seen since Friday, January 27 and Gardaí in Ballinrobe and Claremorris have renewed their appeal for assistance. Mr Heneghan was last seen on his motorbike at 6pm on the Friday evening in Ballinrobe, heading in the direction of Castlebar. Gardaí believe he may have been travelling to McHale Park in Castlebar for that evening’s FBD Final between Mayo and NUI Galway. Gardai are now appealing for anyone who may have seen Michael at the match or anywhere else since to contact them. The motorbike has been recovered parked in Ballinrobe. Searches have been ongoing in the Ballinrobe and Kilmaine areas and in the Kilmaine village of Ballymartin, where Michael lived. Anyone with information can contact 094 9542833.
