New engineering business for Westport
Áine Ryan
A NEW engineering business is set to be launched in Westport on Monday next, December 20, by Fine Gael leader, Enda Kenny TD. Horizon West will provide technical engineering services to a range of multinational manufacturing clients. The company has a staff of ten highly qualified engineers who cover a broad number of disciplines. The members of the team have experience with some top Irish based multinationals. The company has already secured a contract with a large Mayo-based pharmaceutical company. Initially, Horizon West will service businesses in the greater Mayo area, with plans to expand all over Connaught within the next year. Horizon West was set up by six partners: Aidan Corcoran MD, Seamus Reidy, Hubert Halligan, Mark McLean, Mark O’Neill and Seamas Monely. An informal forum addressing ‘The Future of Manufacturing in the Mayo Region’ will be held during next week’s launch.
