The Mayo count has adjourned until 9am tomorrow morning with no candidate elected after five counts and 14 hours of counting.
Sinn Féin candidate Rose Conway-Walsh is still in poll position to be first elected after the distribution of eliminated Fine Gael candidate, Martina Jennings' vote put her 395 short of the quota
Alan Dillon (FG) was the main beneficiary of Jennings' vote after he received 1,100 to put him on 11,008 and 794 short of the quota. Dara Calleary (FF) remains in third position
Westport Fine Gael candidate Keira Keogh pulled further away from party colleague Mark Duffy after receiving 712 transfers from Jennings to put her on 7,391. Duffy moved onto 6,458 while Patsy O'Brien (Ind) received 575 votes from Jennings to move him onto 6,131 votes.
Following the distribution of Jennings's votes, Independent candidate Stephen Kerr was eliminated and his 3,684 votes will be distributed following a resumption of a count at 9am.
Lisa Chambers (FF) is on 6,316 but she faces a challenge to win back the seat she lost in 2020 and looks to be fading. Aontú candidate Paul Lawless looks to be still in the race but will rely on a large transfer from Kerr's vote to take him closer to the fifth seat.
Sinn Féin's Gerry Murray is expected to be the next eliminated after the distribution of Kerr's vote.
