OCCUPATION: Teacher
ELECTION CHANCES: Daly is running in his second General Election. In 2020, he polled 721 first preferences and was eliminated after the third count when he had accumulated 1,072 votes. Daly also ran in the recent local elections where he received 246 votes so he is unlikely to be in the mix for a seat on Friday. However, Daly is a very able performer and has held the Government to account especially in terms of the big issues like Housing and Education. People Before Profit have struggled to gain a foothold in rural constituencies but they could increase the number of TDs they have in the Dáil. The currently have four TDs.
