ELECTION CHANCES: Once a shining light in the Fianna Fáil party in Mayo, Chambers is facing a huge battle to resurrect her political career and win back the Dáíl seat she lost in 2020. Chambers secured the fourth most first preference votes in 2020 but as the count continued she was overtaken on transfers by Alan Dillon who took the Castlebar seat. For her to win back her seat she will have to convince the people of Castlebar to come out and back her in large enough numbers to put her in a shout for the final seats.
