As he so often is, the Ballina Stephenites man was roaming on the flank and his usual self when harrying attackers. Contributed on the scoreboard in the final exchanges before David Coldrick's half-time whistle.
His relentless engine would be the envy of many long-distance runners, and this became even more clear as the second half progressed.
Kept his composure brilliantly when Armagh applied pressure, and helped navigate Mayo through choppy waters.
