Mayo GAA boss Andy Moran has made big changes to his starting team ahead of their National League meeting with Monaghan.

In a return to the county where the Ballaghaderreen man cut his teeth as a coach, Moran's men will be looking to pick up big points to stay in and around the top of Division One.

The Farney County, though, are in big need of a win fast to keep themselves from falling through the relegation trapdoor.

With the Green and Red keen to return to winning ways post-Donegal, Moran and his side have made significant changes to the starting side heading out to battle in Saint Tiernach's Park.

Rory Brickenden, Fenton Kelly, and Diarmuid O'Connor make way for the Clones battle, with Conor Loftus, Paddy Durcan, and David McBrien coming into the side on Sunday.

There is also a first appearance on the bench for Crossmolina Deel Rovers star Kobe McDonald.

The Mayo side is as follows. Throw-in is at 1.45 pm.

Mayo: Rob Hennelly; Jack Coyne (C), Donnacha McHugh, Enda Hession; Sam Callinan, Conor Loftus, Paddy Durcan; Bob Tuohy, David McBrien; Jack Carney, Ryan O’Donoghue, Jordan Flynn; Darragh Beirne, Aidan O’Shea, Fergal Boland.

Subs: Jack Livingstone, Rory Brickenden, Michael Plunkett, Stephen Coen, Fenton Kelly, Seamus Howard, Kobe McDonald, Cian McHale, Diarmuid Duffy, Sean Morahan, Paul Towey.
