IMPROVED KICK-OUTS

We had seen a couple of wobbles in Mayo's kick-out play so far this year. However, Sunday's efforts, especially the first half against Donegal, were brilliantly played by Rob Hennelly and his outfield players.

Only two kick-outs were lost, as Mayo varied their kick-out strategy, mixing long ones, with short, medium distance kicks, (almost) always finding the free man.

And it was often achieved when moving players around and kicking the ball in the right moment.
