Andy Moran's Mayo to face off in Charity game this December

Mayo are set to face Offaly on December 21.

This January sees the return of the FBD league where Andy Moran’s Mayo side will face off with fellow Connacht teams in the pre-season competition. Mayo are due to play Sligo on the weekend of January 3 and 4 while the following weekend the Green and Red will clash with Roscommon.

However, The Mayo News understands that Andy Moran's men will have their opening game before that as the Ballaghaderreen man's first game in charge will come against Offaly in a charity game. Full details are yet to be confirmed although the game will take place on Sunday, December 21.

Last season, Mayo played Monaghan in a charity game in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park. That evening, funds were raised for the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association. In Mayo's first game under the new rules, Monaghan coached at the time by Andy Moran came away from Castlebar with a narrow victory.
