Saturday afternoon represents a mammoth clash for the Mayo Ladies, as they take on Cork with a place in the knockout phase of the LGFA All-Ireland Championship at stake.

More importantly, Mayo will be looking to steer their season away from the catastrophe of possible relegation, with a loss ensuring that Mayo will be plunging into the murky waters of the playoffs.

Where and when is the game?

The LGFA All-Ireland Senior Championship Group Stage game between Mayo and Cork will take place in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park, Castlebar, on Saturday, June 21, at 3pm.

Is the game on TV?

The game will be shown live on TG4 and the TG4 Player, which can be accessed by clicking here.

Where can I get tickets?

Tickets for the game can be purchased from Universe at this link. Tickets are priced at €20, with student/OAP tickets at €10, and tickets for those aged 13-18 at €5. Under-12s go free.

What happened the last time these two sides met?

On March 2, 2024, Mayo recorded a two-point Páirc Uí Chaoimh victory over their Cork counterparts in a result which ultimately relegated Cork to Division Two.

It was also a positive result for Mayo the last time the sides played in the Championship in 2022.

In Cusack Park, Ennis, Mayo eked out another two-point win to secure their place in the All-Ireland semi-finals.

What do Cork bring to the table?

The Rebels have had a decent season to date and will be returning to the top flight of League football for 2026. Key to all their successes is Katie Quirke, who can cause issues for the best of defenders.

Who is refereeing the game?

Gus Chapman from Sligo has been selected as the official for this one. Chapman has plenty of experience on big days, having previously shouldered the responsibility of officiating the 2023 All-Ireland semi-final between Kerry and Mayo.

This year, Chapman has already taken charge of the Green and Red in their clash with Kerry in Swinford.
