ALLIANZ FOOTBALL LEAGUE DIVISION ONE
Armagh v Mayo
BOX-IT Athletic Grounds, Saturday at 5 pm
Mayo’s win over Tyrone in Castlebar may not have been pretty, and either side could have came away from their round three clash with the points on the board. However, it will go down as a victory on the table nonetheless, and potentially a vital one in terms of survival.
Sunday’s result gives Kevin McStay something to build on, however this weekend’s Ulster foes represent a step up in quality.
Armagh didn’t look much like All-Ireland champions in Ballybofey on Sunday, and Mayo fans will be fearful of the kickback from a side who ran riot against Tyrone earlier in the campaign.

BANK OF IRELAND J1B TOP 4 SUPER 4S
Ballinrobe v Westport
Ballinrobe, Sunday at 2.30 pm
Both these sides have plenty of history this season with a win apiece, and this one will secure the bragging rights between the pair for the season.
Sunday’s visitors were the only side to get a win over Ballinrobe in the regular J1B season, notching a 30-22 victory in Westport in the competition opener. However, Ballinrobe got their own back.
With the game in the balance Westport were on the verge of a game-deciding try in the dying echelons of their Connacht Junior Cup clash. However, Ballinrobe and Liam Burke pounced to make it 24-12. Unfortunate for Westport, but excellent for the narrative as it sets up an intriguing ‘best-of-three’ clash this weekend.

ALLIANZ HURLING LEAGUE DIVISION THREE
Mayo v London
Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence, Saturday at 6 pm

London are making the trip on the back of a fine triumph over Cavan also, and are in rude form following the nine-point victory. David Devine will be hard stopped, having notched 2-14 across the last three games.
If either side can crack the enigma of stopping the others’ red-hot forward, expect them to leave the Centre of Excellence with the zero on their record intact.

HOGAN CUP SEMI-FINAL
St Colman’s Claremorris v Coláiste Mhuire, Mullingar
Padraig Pearses GAA Ground Roscommon, Saturday at 1 pm
Following the historic Connacht title success of Colman’s, the dream of reaching a historic Hogan Cup final is only 60 minutes away from reality. Darragh Beirne was fantastic for the Mayo schoolboys in the provincial decider, and will take some man-marking job to curtail.
On the other side of the coin are Coláiste Mhuire, Mullingar. Their Leinster crown came in dramatic fashion in a 3-10 to 1-13 extra-time thriller v Arscoile na Tríonóide, Athy. That said, even their own coach Dean McNicholas admitted the win would have been a tall order had Athy’s Darragh Farrell not been sent off.
Should Colman’s be able to keep free-scoring TY student Will Scahil, who notched 2-6 last time out, quiet, then they’ll have their ticket punched to the St Patrick’s weekend showdown.
