KNOCKMORE GAA have announced the return of county title-winning manager Ray Dempsey as their senior team manager.
The club confirmed on their social media that Dempsey had been ratified as manager for the 2025 season.
Dempsey returns to the helm more than three years after he guided his native club to their second consecutive county title.
Aidan Kilcoyne and John Brogan replaced him as managers for the 2023 and 2024 seasons before they stepped aside following their county final defeat to Ballina.
Dempsey previously managed Knockmore between 2018 and 2022, guiding them to county titles in 2020 and 2021.
Shortly after departing Knockmore, Dempsey managed the Limerick senior footballers for a number of months before resigning in March 2023. He returned to management with Easkey, who won that year’s Sligo intermediate championship.
This season, he was part of Parke/Keelogue’s/Crimlin’s coaching ticket as they failed to qualify from their group in the Mayo Intermediate Club Championship.
Dempsey was one of four candidates who applied for the Mayo senior team manager’s job after James Horan resigned in 2022.
