BOTH the Mayo junior and intermediate club finals will be replayed after late drama saw Moy Davitts snatch a draw against a Crossmolina team who led by seven points at one stage.

Despite finishing with thirteen men on the field, Moy Davitts snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat when Brian Reape knocked a long, hopeful ball into the path of the evergreen Brian Heneghan, who toe-poked it home in the final minute of normal time.

Cian McHale levelled with his ninth point of the afternoon before both teams went in frantic search of a winner, but to no avail.

Crossmolina were much the better team in the first half, with Niall Coggins finding the net after just 14 seconds.

Brian Benson’s men had a number of standout performers and extended their 1-8 to 0-6 at the break as Brian Reape scored Moy Davitts’ only point from play in the first half.

However, much like their previous meeting in Crossmolina, the Deel Rovers failed to close out the game and a Cian McHale Moy Davitts slowly crept back into it.

The Moysiders lost Conor Reid to a red card and Jack Dunleavy to a black card while Crossmolina’s Kevin Mulhern was also dismissed on a black card.

Despite this, Crossmolina could well have held out for the win.

Then Heneghan got the goal and Cian McHale shot the equaliser, then Shane Corcoran blew the whistle after four minutes of injury time.

The teams will meet in a replay at a yet-to-be-confirmed date.
