Team of the week: Mayo Intermediate Championship

The Mayo GAA Intermediate Championship has started with dramatic scenes. Ballinrobe snatched victory from Parke's hands with a massive last gasp score by dead-eye Duffy who put on a show and rightfully earned his spot on the first Intermediate team of the week.

Burrishoole battled with 14 men and came away with the win against Islandeady, with some late drama there as well.

Kilmaine ended up having three players on the team after a second half surge saw them home against Kiltane after trailing at half-time.

The battle of Nephin was decided by an impressive second half performance by Crossmolina Deel Rovers, spurred on by Fionán Duffy against neighbours Lahardane MacHales.
