THE long, flowing locks which made Oisín Mullin one of the most recognisable footballers in Mayo are no more.

The Kilmaine native and former intercounty footballer has had his first haircut in more than four years to raise money for the construction of the Daisy Lodge in Cong.

The facility, which is being delivered by the Cancer Fund For Children charity, will provide short stays for children with cancer and their families.

It will be just the second facility of its kind on the island of Ireland when completed.

Oisín Mullin’s fundraiser has already raised over €7,000 for the Cancer Fund For Children charity.
