The dust has settled over the one-point-defeat in Kerry last weekend and Kevin McStay's men will travel to Tyrone on Saturday looking to get back on the winning track.
Mayo had started their league campaign in excellent style, comfortably beating age-old rivals Galway and edging Dublin at home with a superb last-minute kick from Feargal Boland, which certainly tasted sweet for Mayo fans after last year's painful quarter-final exit.
Even though Mayo had to return from Tralee empty-handed last weekend, there are positive signs in defeat. A strong second half display raised the spirits and the fact that the Green and Red have yet to concede a goal in the campaign also is noteworthy.
The big question that will cause a headache for the coaching staff: Will Paddy Durcan return to the squad, after getting a rest due to injury last Saturday. The Castlebar man had been in stellar form so far and McStay will hope to have his captain back on board.
