RIP: Mayo woman who was a nurse remembered as 'a beautiful person inside and out'

Valerie Hentry has passed away recently

Tributes have poured in for Mayo local Valerie Henry following her recent passing.

Valerie lived in Shraigh East, Bunnahowen, Belmullet in Mayo, formerly of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
She died peacefully at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar surrounded by her loving family on February 25.

Predeceased by her parents George and Violet Moody and her recently deceased brother Brian.

She was the beloved wife of John, loving mother to Jimmy, dear mother in law to Angela and adored grandmother to Oisín, Ryan and Saoirse.

She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, son, daughter in law, grandchildren, relatives, former colleagues at the Belmullet Community Hospital, neighbours and many friends.

Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Eileen, with one mourner writing,

"Deepest sympathy to Jimmy, John and family on the death of Valerie. I have great memories from our time working together at the District Hospital, Belmullet. Valerie was always kind and caring, with a wonderful smile. May she Rest in Peace."

Another message said, "My deepest sympathy to John, Jimmy and family on the very sad passing of Valerie. She was my work colleague for many years and she was courteous and professional at all times to work mates and patients. Fond memories R.I.P. Valerie."

Another mourner wrote, "Deepest condolences to the family and friends of Valerie. I worked with Valerie in the community hospital around 40yrs ago. She was a fantastic nurse and a beautiful person inside and out.
May your Sweet soul rest in peace Amen... Trisha."

Funeral Arrangements:

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Saturday evening from 5.30 until 7.30. Funeral will arrive at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Glencastle on Sunday for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Glencastle New Cemetery.

Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page on Sunday at 12 noon with all other funeral services available for viewing on Sunday evening at 7 o’clock
