Resurfacing works to boost accessible parking start at Ireland West Airport
Resurfacing works are set to begin today (Wednesday, March 4) at Ireland West Airport as part of its ongoing transformation programme, with upgrades focused on improving parking facilities for passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) and Blue Badge holders.
The project will see the enhancement and expansion of existing accessible parking spaces, increasing overall capacity in advance of the busy summer travel period.
Airport management said the works are designed to improve accessibility and ensure a smoother experience for passengers requiring additional support.
In addition to the dedicated PRM and Blue Badge areas, resurfacing will also take place in other sections of the airport’s car parks over the coming week.

Passengers travelling during this period are advised that temporary traffic management systems will be in operation to assist with vehicle flow on arrival and exit. While some minor disruption may occur, the airport has apologised for any inconvenience and thanked customers for their cooperation during the upgrade works.
The parking improvements form part of wider enhancement works currently under way at the airport aimed at improving facilities and passenger experience.
