100 free burritos up for grabs in Mayo to celebrate the opening of new Mexican restaurant

Zambrero will celebrate its official opening in Castlebar on Friday, 28 February with 100 free burritos up for grabs.

Zambrero is a Mexican-inspired restaurant which first opened in December in Circle K on Humbert Way. The official launch however, will be celebrated next Friday with 100 free burritos for customers as well as a 2-for-1 deal for the special day.

The new restaurant has a lot to offer for lovers of Mexican cuisine, with burritos, bowls and nachos all featuring on their delicious menu.

Customers can also choose from a variety of flavourful proteins, fresh fillings, and tasty sauces. There's even plenty of vegan and vegetarian options available too. 

Commenting on the official launch, Darragh Fanning, General Manager of Zambrero in Ireland, said: "Opening our first location in Mayo is a significant milestone in our expansion across the west of Ireland. Our team is excited to bring the Zambrero ethos to the community and introduce our Mexican-inspired food to even more people."

The restaurant adopts a Plate 4 Plate initiative which ensures that for every burrito or bowl purchased, a meal is donated to someone in need through Zambrero's distribution partner, Rise Against Hunger. This means that for every meal sold at the restaurant, customers are actually contributing to a very worthy cause. 

The newest addition to Castlebar eateries is sure to be a great success as it was a runner-up for the best Mexican restaurant in Ireland in the Just Eat Awards 2023 and was one of the finalists for the Deliveroo 'Beating Heart of the Community' Award also in 2023 which recognized its positive impact on local communities.

Zambrero is also shortlisted for the Just Eat Awards 2024 in the Best Chain category.

The new store is located in Circle K on Humbert Way in Knockaphunta, Castlebar and will open each day from 11am until 9pm Monday through Sunday.
