Talented Mayo woman releases new Christmas single

Clodagh Togher, from Erris, has released 'An Irish Country Christmas'

These are busy times for young Erris singer Clodagh Togher, who has just recorded her first Christmas song and it is one that is close to her heart.

‘An Irish Country Christmas’ was composed by her dad, Michael S Togher, and well-known Longford musician and studio producer, Paul Gurney.

Michael S has also produced the excellent video to accompany the song with special thanks to the Broadhaven Bay Hotel, Linda Talbot Christmas house, and the fine musicians at Terry's Cottage.

You can watch the video here:

“It is a very upbeat song and I am delighted with how it has turned out,” said Clodagh. “We had a lot of fun shooting the video and it is a real local production. I would like to thank everyone who helped out along the way.”

The new song from Clodagh looks set to become a popular favourite on local radio over the next three weeks. Meanwhile, you can see Clodagh and Michael S at the big Christmas Jamboree concert in the Broadhaven Bay Hotel, Belmullet, on Friday night, December 12.
