The new premises, located on Garden St, opposite the Western People, was officially opened by Minister for Arts, Culture, Communications, Media and Sport, Patrick O’Donovan on Thursday October 23, with supporters and party colleagues attending:
“I want to express my sincere thanks to Minister Patrick O’Donovan for coming to Ballina today to cut the ribbon on my new office," Duffy said: "I am committed to being available and responsive to the needs of the community and this office will allow people direct access to their local representative. My team and I will be available to listen, to help and to work hard on their behalf - whether it’s housing, healthcare, education or local development we will ensure that every voice is heard and every concern is addressed.”
Duffy said, he would be looking forward to welcoming constituents and communities from right across county Mayo and to serving their needs.
Mark Duffy was re-elected as an independent candidate at the Local Elections in June 2024, and then later ran in the General Election, having switched to Fine Gael.
