A sky full of stars: Coldplay's spectacular opening night at Croke ParkCold
Coldplay's long awaited Music of the Spheres World Tour finally arrived with a bang last night in Croke Park.
The band's frontman Chris Martin welcomed fans at the stadium as Gaeilge, saying, "Céad mile fáilte go Croke Pairc" and added, "Tá áthas orainn anseo i Croke Pairc."
He went on later in the show to praise the energy of the Irish fans by saying: "We played 160 shows before today and I thought I was experienced but I really don't know how to handle a crowd this wonderful."
The show lasted 2 hours with the band playing 20 of their hit songs and even performed a brand new single 'We Pray' with special guests Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna and TINI.

The spectacular sold-out show has been praised by fans on social media, with special attention to the amazing production of the concert.
Fans have hailed the show as "an incredible experience" and simply "legendary." Photos and videos have been shared across social media of the dazzling performance which saw Croke Park light up like never before.

The band have been making the most of their time in Ireland as Chris Martin took to Graft Street to do a live performance of the band's new single alongside rapper Burna Boy, Little Simz, Elyanna and TINI who also accompanied the band on stage last night.
Coldplay are set to perform in Dublin again tonight for the second leg of their four night extravaganza. After this, they are set to perform again on Sunday and Monday night.
Although tickets may be sold out for the shows, it is still possible to grab some last minute tickets on Ticketmaster's resale website!
