The second annual Kilmaine parish dinner dance will be held in the Community Centre on April 8, with music by Flamingo. Tickets at €25 are available from any committee member.
Flaggers Bowling Club
Indoor bowling takes place on Mondays at 8pm in Shrule Community Hall. The bowling tournament is starting on Saturday, April 1, with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals being played off on April 8. Spectators are welcome Refreshments will be served on the day. Fund-raising event
Mayo Ladies GAA, in conjunction with Self Help Africa, is holding a fund-raising dance in Craddock’s of Shrule on April 1. Music is provided by Midnight Rollers, admission is €10. Contact Noreen Walsh and Marie O’Malley for tickets.

Boxing training continues every Tuesday and Thursday in Shrule hall at 7.30pm.
Card game
A 25 card drive is held every Wednesday at 8.30pm in Glencorrib Community Centre.
Tacú, Ballinrobe
MABS, the money advice and budgeting service will be in Tacú Ballinrobe Family Resource Centre in Glebe Street on the first Thursday of every month from 10.30am to 12.30pm. MABS provide a free and confidential money management and advice service to everyone. If you would like to talk to someone about a personal or family issue, call Ballinrobe Family Resource Centre and they will put you in contact with counsellors in the Ballinrobe area. The Kilmaine Active Retirement Group meets on Monday nights at 8pm in the Community Centre, Kilmaine. The association offers over 55s friendship, a wide range of interesting activities. Just come along on Monday nights for a friendly welcome.
