’Robe bull is a global hit
LITTLE did Bruno the Bull think it at the time, but when he stepped inside Cummins Super Valu in Ballinrobe he was about to make himself one of the most talked about animals in the world.
Millions of people worldwide have viewed the ‘bull in a shop’ TV footage which created a huge media furore last week with leading news channels such as Sky and CNN featuring the news item.
YouTube viewings will have gone past 250,000 by the time you read this as the galloping bull became the most talked about news in Mayo for a few days last week.
One entrepreneur has grabbed the ‘bull by the horns’ and created a special line of ‘Bullinrobe Bull’ t-shirts.
“I never saw anything as funny on television,” said Tim Kelly, who runs t-shirt site www.puck out.com.
“I decided I had to create a range of t-shirts to mark the occasion, particularly as I realised the footage would be viewed all over the world.
“People just want a laugh, now more than ever, and the Bullinrobe bull provided that.”
