GEESALA will be turned into a mini-Electric Picnic this summer with thousands of music fans set to descent on the Gaeltacht village for two days for ‘Mayo’s Biggest Party’.
The Far West music festival will take place in a five acre field in Geesala on Friday, August 18 and Saturday, August 19 with legendary British electronic music duo Basement Jaxx and Irish singer-songwriter, Gavin James among the headline acts.
Far West Fest is part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the famous Geesala horse racing festival which takes place on nearby Doolough Beach on Sunday, August 20.

The organisers have linked up with Corduff Travel and buses will be running to the festival from Achill, Ballina, Castlebar, Crossmolina and Westport.
