GARDAÍ have asked people attending the Westport Festival of Music and Performing Arts this weekend to avail of the park-and-ride facilities or face having their vehicle towed away.
Car parking will be available for concert-goers on all of the approach roads to Westport over the weekend with park -and-ride facilities on the Castlebar road and along the Leenane road. Gardaí said that all the car parking facilities will be clearly sign posted along the approach roads and have asked motorists to avoid parking in the town. A garda spokesperson said that cars parked illegally in Westport will be towed away.
