Mickey Rourke among stars in new BibleCode Sundays video

Henry McGlade

The new music video by The BibleCode Sundays to promote their new album will feature guest appearances by a number of celebrities, including Hollywood A-lister Mickey Rourke.
Rourke, who was nominated for the best actor Oscar for his role in the Hollywood blockbuster ‘The Wrestler’, will be joined in the video by former World Champion boxer Steve Collins, Republic of Ireland’s all-time top scorer Robbie Keane, and Dublin-based actor Mark Hutchinson.
The music video – directed by award-winning director Tom Begley – will also be used by Steve Collins to promote his up-coming grudge match with American boxer Roy Jones Jnr.
The BibleCodeSundays are a London-based folk-rock band. Their bass player is Enda Mulloy from Mulranny, son of Tom Mulloy of the well-known ballad group the Mulloy Brothers.
“Having so many celebrities in our music video is obviously a wonderful coup for the band, and it may seem like an unashamed list of name-dropping, but it hasn’t really been that way,” said Enda.
“The whole idea for the video and the inclusion of the cast all stems from Andy [Nolan] – the band’s accordion player – who has just finished writing and producing a soon to be screened short movie that starred Steve Collins and Mark Hutchinson.
“Both he and his director Tom Begley came up with the idea for the music video’s story line, and we just went ahead with the shoot.
“To our delight Mickey Rourke and Robbie Keane volunteered their services to lend their support to the band and our project, it all seems surreal to be honest”.
The music video will be premiered the same night as Andy Nolan’s short movie ‘Tax City’ on Friday, April 5, at BAFTA in London, with the album to follow shortly afterwards at an unconfirmed date.
