Popular Ballina DJ Kevin Gorman launched his debut CD single in his hometown – a song he wrote entitled ‘Hurt In My Heart’.
Kevin, who has a long career in the music business, has recently turned to song writing, and many of his own compositions will feature on a forthcoming album. In the meantime, the proceeds from the CD single will be donated to ‘Console’, a charity dear to Kevin’s heart, as some of the people who worked with him over the years in the music business have taken their own lives.
The Ballina man started his music career working on a local pirate radio station with the late Tommy Murphy. His went on to work as a DJ in Ballina, and further afield in Spain, France, Germany and the UK.
Kevin’s musical influences include Bruce Springsteen, Kenny Rogers and the Eagles. The CD single was launched in Bar Square Garden, Ballina, with a number of special guests, including local singer musician Dave McDonnell. The single is available in a number of outlets around Mayo.
