Ghoulish glamour is in vogue as Westival’s Halloween Ball returns in all its gory glory on Sunday night, October 30, with a killer line-up, bloody cocktails and prizes for the best dressed.
The headline act is acclaimed Mayo-born electronic artist Elaine Mai. Since 2014, Mai has amassed over 4.6 million streams on Spotify. Her music is rich with lived-in experience, with her debut album ‘Home’ released in October 2021 to critical acclaim. Prestigious Choice Music Prize nominations for both album and song of the year followed, alongside acts such as Villagers, Bicep, Orla Gartland and Soda Blonde, and Mick Flannery.
Her single ‘No Forever (featuring MayKay)’, taken from ‘Home’, garnered widespread acclaim and achieved 14 million impressions across Irish radio. It hit No 2 in the Irish Radio Breakers chart and peaked at No 6 in the Viral 50 Ireland Spotify chart.
Joining her on vocals on the night will be another big name on the Irish scene, MayKay (Fight Like Apes, Le Galaxie, Other Voices), while DJ extraordinaire Louise Bruton be on the decks pre and post live show.
